# Ilanji Vel

**Ilanji Vel** was one of the [velirs](/source/Velirs) of the ancient Tamilakam.[1] He ruled a territory called [Ilanji](/source/Ilanji), near [Courtallam](/source/Courtallam). He belonged to the clan of the Pandyas.[1]
