**Iana Andreevna Lebedeva** ([Russian](/source/Russian_language): Яна Андреевна Лебедева; born 19 December 2001)[1] is a Russian [trampoline gymnast](/source/Trampolining). She is the [2021 European](/source/2021_European_Trampoline_Championships) champion and [2021 World](/source/2021_Trampoline_Gymnastics_World_Championships) bronze medalist in the individual event. She represented the [Russian Olympic Committee at the 2020 Olympics](/source/Russian_Olympic_Committee_athletes_at_the_2020_Summer_Olympics) and finished 11th during the qualification round of [the trampoline competition](/source/Gymnastics_at_the_2020_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Women's_trampoline).

## Gymnastics career

Lebedeva originally trained in [acrobatic gymnastics](/source/Acrobatic_gymnastics) but switched to trampoline at nine years old. Her mother, Natalia, is her coach.[2] At the 2015 World Age Group Competition, she won a silver medal in the 15-16 synchro event.[3]

### 2018–2021

Lebedeva won a gold medal with the junior Russian trampoline team at the 2018 European Championships.[4] There, she also won a silver medal in the synchro event.[5] She finished fourth in the synchro event at the 2018 Loulé World Cup with partner [Susana Kochesok](/source/Susana_Kochesok).[6]

Lebedeva won the individual title at the [2021 European Championships](/source/2021_European_Trampoline_Championships),[7] and she helped Russia win the team title.[8] At the 2021 Anadia World Cup, she won the individual silver medal behind teammate Kochesok.[9] She then competed at the delayed-[2020 Summer Olympics](/source/2020_Summer_Olympics) and finished 11th in the qualification round.[10] She then won the bronze medal in the individual event at the [2021 World Championships](/source/2021_Trampoline_Gymnastics_World_Championships) behind [Bryony Page](/source/Bryony_Page) and [Cao Yunzhu](/source/Cao_Yunzhu).[11] She also helped the Russian Gymnastics Federation win the all-around team title.[12]

### 2022–2024

In February 2022, Lebedeva qualified first for the final at the Baku World Cup but fell to last place in the final.[13] The next month, the [International Gymnastics Federation](/source/International_Gymnastics_Federation) (FIG) banned Russian and Belarusian athletes due to the [Russian invasion of Ukraine](/source/Russian_invasion_of_Ukraine).[14] She continued to participate in domestic competitions.[15] In the summer of 2023, the FIG announced it would lift the ban beginning in January 2024.[16]

Lebedeva returned to international competition in 2024 and won the bronze medal at the Baku World Cup.[17] She won another bronze medal at the 2024 Cottbus World Cup.[18] She earned enough points in the 2024 World Cup series to qualify for the [2024 Summer Olympics](/source/2024_Summer_Olympics).[15][19] However, she was not approved by the [International Olympic Committee](/source/International_Olympic_Committee) to compete as an [Individual Neutral Athlete](/source/Individual_Neutral_Athletes_at_the_2024_Summer_Olympics).[20]

### 2025

In February 2025, Lebedeva announced she was taking a break from the sport.[21] Later that year, she [changed her nationality](/source/Nationality_changes_in_gymnastics) to begin representing Belarus and was approved by the [International Gymnastics Federation](/source/International_Gymnastics_Federation) to compete as an [Authorised Neutral Athlete](/source/Authorised_Neutral_Athletes).[22][23] At the [2025 World Championships](/source/2025_Trampoline_Gymnastics_World_Championships), she won a silver medal with the Individual Neutral Athletes from Belarus in the team competition.[24]
