'''Ian French''' (born 28 December 1960) is an Australian former [rugby league](/source/rugby_league) footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s.  French is the brother of fellow Queensland [State of Origin](/source/Rugby_League_State_of_Origin) player [Brett French](/source/Brett_French). While playing in the [Brisbane Rugby League premiership](/source/Brisbane_Rugby_League_premiership) in 1985, French won the [Rothmans Medal](/source/Rothmans_Medal) as player of the season.
