IX.br is an interconnection of [metropolitan area network](/source/metropolitan_area_network) [IXPs](/source/Internet_exchange_point) (called PIXes in Brazil) with commercial and academic networks, under centralized management. IX.br has 36 [Internet exchange point](/source/Internet_exchange_point)s in Brazil, as of January 2024.
