# IL Skrim

**Idrettslaget Skrim** is a [Norwegian](/source/Norway) multi-sports club from southern [Kongsberg](/source/Kongsberg_Municipality). It has sections for [team handball](/source/Team_handball), [association football](/source/Association_football), [American football](/source/American_football), [Nordic skiing](/source/Nordic_skiing), [badminton](/source/Badminton), [discgolf](/source/Discgolf), [muay thai](/source/Muay_thai)/[Brazilian jiu-jitsu](/source/Brazilian_jiu-jitsu) and archery.

The club was founded on 1 June 1945 in [Saggrenda](/source/Saggrenda) as a merger of *Saggrenda IL* (founded 1898) and *Labro SK* (founded 1929).[1] The club has adopted 22 January 1898 as its founding date.[2] After the merger, the club primarily did skiing with football and athletics, but did not own a football ground.[1] The team jerseys are blue.

The women's handball team was promoted to the [Eliteserien](/source/Eliteserien_(women's_handball)), the top division in 2018, but were relegated again the [following season](/source/2018%E2%80%9319_Eliteserien_(women's_handball)), after finishing 11th out of 12.[3] Notable former players include [Live Rushfeldt Deila](/source/Live_Rushfeldt_Deila), [Ingvild Bakkerud](/source/Ingvild_Bakkerud) and [Nina Heglund](/source/Nina_Heglund).[4]

The men's football team plays in the Seventh Division, the eighth tier of football in Norway.[5]
