**IC 4214** is a [barred spiral galaxy](/source/Barred_spiral_galaxy)[7] in the constellation [Centaurus](/source/Centaurus).[1] It's classified as a type SBaB galaxy.[2] It was first discovered in 1897 by astronomer [Lewis Swift](/source/Lewis_Swift).[3] The galaxy is approximately 100 thousand light-years across.[3]

IC 4214 is a three-ringed structure, with its nuclear, inner, and outer rings.[8] A weak bar feature is present.[9]
