'''IBRIX Fusion''' is a [parallel file system](/source/parallel_file_system) combined with a [logical volume manager](/source/logical_volume_manager), availability features and a management interface. The software was produced, sold, and supported by IBRIX Incorporated of [Billerica, Massachusetts](/source/Billerica%2C_Massachusetts). [HP](/source/Hewlett-Packard) announced on July 17, 2009 that it had reached a definitive agreement to acquire IBRIX.<ref>[http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press/2009/090717xa.html HP Acquires IBRIX to Extend Scale-out Storage Capabilities to Global Customers]</ref> Subsequent to the acquisition, the software components of IBRIX have been combined with [ProLiant](/source/ProLiant) servers to form the X9000 series of storage systems.<ref name=autogenerated1>{{Cite web |url=http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13467_div/13467_div.html |title=Archived copy |access-date=2011-06-17 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110723100725/http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13467_div/13467_div.html |archive-date=2011-07-23 |url-status=dead }}</ref>

The X9000 storage systems are designed to provide [network-attached storage](/source/network-attached_storage) over both standard protocols ([SMB](/source/Server_Message_Block), [NFS](/source/Network_File_System), [HTTP](/source/HTTP) and [NDMP](/source/NDMP)<ref name=autogenerated1 />) as well as a proprietary protocol. Architecturally, the file system is limited to 16 petabytes under a single [namespace](/source/namespace),<ref>{{Cite web |url=http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13467_div/13467_div.html#Features%20and%20Benefits |title=Archived copy |access-date=2011-06-17 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110723100725/http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13467_div/13467_div.html#Features%20and%20Benefits |archive-date=2011-07-23 |url-status=dead }}</ref> and is based upon a design described in {{US patent|6782389}}.

It was used in the [HPE](/source/Hewlett_Packard_Enterprise) StoreOnce (former D2D) products.{{citation needed|date=August 2016}}
