**Hussain Hakem** ([Arabic](/source/Arabic_language): حسين حاكم, born 26 June 1984) is a [Kuwaiti](/source/Kuwait) former [footballer](/source/Football_(soccer)) who played as a [defender](/source/Defender_(association_football)) for the [Kuwaiti Premier League](/source/Kuwaiti_Premier_League) club [Al Kuwait](/source/Kuwait_SC).[1]

Hakem's most valuable goal came in the [Final](/source/2009_AFC_Cup_Final) of [the 2009 AFC Cup](/source/2009_AFC_Cup), the goal came in the 16th minute of the first half.

## Withdrawal of Kuwaiti citizenship

Kuwaiti authorities announced the withdrawal of Kuwait citizenship from former national team player Hussain Hakem.[2]
