# Hugues Portelli

**Hugues Portelli** (born 22 December 1947) is a member of the [Senate of France](/source/Senate_of_France), representing the [Val-d'Oise](/source/Val-d'Oise) department. He is a member of the [Union for a Popular Movement](/source/Union_for_a_Popular_Movement).

Portelli is also the mayor of [Ermont](/source/Ermont), a city located in the North of [Paris](/source/Paris) ([Val-d'Oise](/source/Val-d'Oise) department) as well as a Professor of Political science and Constitutional Law at the prestigious [Panthéon-Assas University](/source/Panth%C3%A9on-Assas_University).
