'''Hugpatch Records''' is a [record label](/source/record_label) based out of [Brooklyn](/source/Brooklyn), [New York](/source/New_York_(state)). It was founded in [2006](/source/2006_in_music) by [Maxwell Williams](/source/Maxwell_Williams). It was originally a 7" [single](/source/Single_(music)) only record label, which gives it the reputation as "the world's tiniest record label."  Its releases are limited to 500 copies of each record. Releases include singles by Brooklyn-based [indie-pop](/source/indie-pop) band [The Besties](/source/The_Besties) (HP01), [Gijón](/source/Gij%C3%B3n)-based [pop](/source/pop_music) group [Nosoträsh](/source/Nosotr%C3%A4sh) (HP02) and [Austin, Texas](/source/Austin%2C_Texas)-based minimal [pop](/source/pop_music) trio [Yellow Fever](/source/Yellow_Fever_(band)) (HP03). In 2007, Hugpatch was one of the organizers of the [pop music](/source/pop_music) festival, [NYC Popfest](/source/NYC_Popfest). Later on, the label began releasing full-length albums, beginning with The Besties' Home Free (HP08), originally released on CD, and later as a vinyl LP. The label also produces an [internet radio](/source/internet_radio) show for the [American Apparel](/source/American_Apparel) radio station, Viva-Radio.com.
