# Hugh Pyle

**Hugh Pyle** (born 21 September 1988 in Sydney) is a retired [rugby union](/source/Rugby_union) footballer. His regular playing position is [lock](/source/Rugby_union_positions#5._lock). He previously represented the [Rebels](/source/Melbourne_Rebels) in [Super Rugby](/source/Super_Rugby) making his franchise debut in Round 3 of the [2011 Super Rugby season](/source/2011_Super_Rugby_season) against the [Chiefs](/source/Chiefs_(Super_rugby_franchise)).

At the conclusion of the [2014 Super Rugby season](/source/2014_Super_Rugby_season) he departed Australia to take up a lucrative opportunity with major French rugby club ([Stade français Paris rugby](/source/Stade_fran%C3%A7ais_Paris_rugby)).
