**Hubert Raudaschl** (German pronunciation: [\[ˈhuːbɛʁt ˈʁaʊˌdaʃl̩\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Standard_German) [ⓘ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:De-Hubert_Raudaschl.ogg); 26 August 1942 – 26 November 2025) was an Austrian sailboat manufacturer and [Olympic](/source/Olympic_Games) athlete. He participated in nine Olympic games between [1964](/source/1964_Summer_Olympics) and [1996](/source/1996_Summer_Olympics). Raudaschl competed in the [second most Olympic Games](/source/List_of_athletes_with_the_most_appearances_at_Olympic_Games), behind Canadian [Ian Millar](/source/Ian_Millar) and tied with Soviet/Latvian [Afanasijs Kuzmins](/source/Afanasijs_Kuzmins).

## Biography

Raudaschl was born in [Sankt Gilgen am Wolfgangsee](/source/Sankt_Gilgen) on 26 August 1942. He won two Olympic silver medals, one in Mexico City in [1968](/source/1968_Summer_Olympics) in [Finn](/source/Finn_(dinghy)) sailing, the other one in Moscow in [1980](/source/1980_Summer_Olympics) in [Star](/source/Star_(sailboat)) sailing.

He was a two time World Champion (in 1964 in Finn sailing, and in 1978 in Microcupper sailing) and a five time European Champion.

Raudaschl died in [Bad Ischl](/source/Bad_Ischl) on 26 November 2025, at the age of 83.[1]
