# Howard Mildren

**Howard Mildren** was an Australian [lawn bowls](/source/Bowls) international who competed in the [1938 British Empire Games](/source/1938_British_Empire_Games).[1]

## Bowls career

At the [1938 British Empire Games](/source/1938_British_Empire_Games) he won the [silver medal](/source/Silver_medal) in the [pairs event](/source/Lawn_Bowls_at_the_1938_British_Empire_Games) with [Percy Hutton](/source/Percy_Hutton).[2][3][4]

He was the 1938 [Australian National Bowls Championships](/source/Australian_National_Bowls_Championships) pairs winner when bowling with Hutton for the South Park Bowls Club in South Australia[5] and was State champion in 1934 and 1951, the latter when representing the Adelaide Bowls Club.
