They played their home games at [Robertson Stadium](/source/Robertson_Stadium) on the [University of Houston](/source/University_of_Houston) campus.

The Marshals were stocked heavily on former [Texas A&M Aggies](/source/Texas_A%26M_Aggies_football). [Randy McCown](/source/Randy_McCown), the oldest of three brothers who would also play professional football (younger brothers [Josh](/source/Josh_McCown) and [Luke](/source/Luke_McCown) would have significantly longer professional careers), was the team's quarterback.

The Marshals won both games on their schedule, defeating the Los Angeles Dragons and [Miami Tropics](/source/Miami_Tropics_(American_football)), before the league abruptly ended its season and ceased operations. The Marshals and the [San Antonio Matadors](/source/San_Antonio_Matadors) were named league co-champions.
