**Horst Karsten** (born 1 January 1936) is a German [equestrian](/source/Equestrianism) and Olympic medalist. He was born in [Elsfleth](/source/Elsfleth), [Lower Saxony](/source/Lower_Saxony). He competed in [eventing](/source/Eventing) at the [1964 Summer Olympics](/source/1964_Summer_Olympics) in [Tokyo](/source/Tokyo), at the [1968 Summer Olympics](/source/1968_Summer_Olympics) in [Mexico City](/source/Mexico_City), and at the [1972 Summer Olympics](/source/1972_Summer_Olympics) in [Munich](/source/Munich).[1]
