**Hoo Pang Ron** ([simplified Chinese](/source/Simplified_Chinese_characters): 许邦荣; [traditional Chinese](/source/Traditional_Chinese_characters): 許邦榮; [pinyin](/source/Pinyin): *Xǔ Bāngróng*; [Pe̍h-ōe-jī](/source/Pe%CC%8Dh-%C5%8De-j%C4%AB): *Khó͘ Pang-êng*; born 29 March 1998) is a Malaysian [badminton](/source/Badminton) player.[1][2] He began to play badminton at the age of ten, and started competing or playing competitively when he was eighteen.[3] Paired with Cheng Su Yin, he entered the mixed doubles top 20 of the BWF world ranking in 26 November 2024.

## Personal life

Hoo is the younger brother of [Vivian Hoo](/source/Vivian_Hoo), a professional badminton player.[4]
