Hobex was formed by singer/guitarist [Greg Humphreys](/source/Greg_Humphreys) after the demise of his prior ensemble, [Dillon Fence](/source/Dillon_Fence), alongside drummer Steve Hill (originally from Johnny Quest) and bassist Andy Ware.
