Having made his [One Day International](/source/One_Day_International) (ODI) debut in 1992, Modi became part of the middle order of the team, as well as being involved in the [1996](/source/1996_Cricket_World_Cup), [1999](/source/1999_Cricket_World_Cup) and [2003 Cricket World Cup](/source/2003_Cricket_World_Cup)s and the 1994 and 1997 [ICC Trophy](/source/ICC_Trophy).
