'''Hinna''' is a [borough](/source/borough) of the [city of Stavanger](/source/Stavanger_(city)) which lies in the southwestern part of the large [Stavanger Municipality](/source/Stavanger_Municipality) in [Rogaland](/source/Rogaland) county, [Norway](/source/Norway). The borough includes the southernmost part of the city, bordering [Sandnes Municipality](/source/Sandnes_Municipality) to the south. The borough of [Hillevåg](/source/Hillev%C3%A5g) lies to the north, [Sola Municipality](/source/Sola_Municipality) lies to the west, and the [Gandsfjorden](/source/Gandsfjorden) lies to the east. Hillevåg was a part of the old [Hetland Municipality](/source/Hetland_Municipality) until 1965. The borough has residential areas as well as some industrial areas, especially relating to the oil industry. ==Neighbourhoods==
Although the borders of "neighbourhoods" ({{lang|no|delområder}}) do not correspond exactly to the borough borders, Hinna roughly consists of the following neighbourhoods: [Jåtten](/source/J%C3%A5tten), [Gausel](/source/Gausel), [Godeset](/source/Godeset), [Forus](/source/Forus), and southern [Vaulen](/source/Vaulen).

==Politics==
The borough is not independently self-governing, but it falls under the [municipal council](/source/Municipal_council_(Norway)) for [Stavanger Municipality](/source/Stavanger_Municipality). The municipal council has delegated some responsibilities to the a borough council ({{langx|no|bydelsutvalg}}) for Hinna. The borough council consists of 11 members.
