The **Hinemaiaia Stream** is a river of the central [North Island](/source/North_Island) of [New Zealand](/source/New_Zealand). It flows northwest from [Kaimanawa Forest Park](/source/Kaimanawa_Forest_Park), flowing into the eastern shore of [Lake Taupō](/source/Lake_Taup%C5%8D) at [Hatepe](/source/Hatepe), halfway between [Taupō](/source/Taup%C5%8D) and [Tūrangi](/source/T%C5%ABrangi). It is a popular [fly fishing](/source/Fly_fishing) stream, with good numbers of [Rainbow trout](/source/Rainbow_trout) spawning in the winter months of June through to September.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*]
