There are various small industries in the town. About 9&nbsp;km south of Hillerstorp, there is a small but nationally renowned amusement park called [High Chaparral Theme Park](/source/High_Chaparral_Theme_Park) (named after the American [Western-themed TV series](/source/The_High_Chaparral) aired on [NBC](/source/NBC)) offering, among others, the [steam train](/source/steam_train) rides and the [American Old West](/source/American_Old_West) experiences.
