# High Bray

**High Bray** is a village, [church of England parish](/source/Parish_(Church_of_England)) and former [civil parish](/source/Civil_parish), now in the parish of [Brayford](/source/Brayford), in the [North Devon](/source/North_Devon) district, in the county of [Devon](/source/Devon), England.[1][2] In 1961 the civil parish had a population of 150.[3] On 1 April 1986 the parish was abolished and merged with [Charles](/source/Charles,_Devon) to form Brayford.[4]

Wildlife filmmaker [Johnny Kingdom](/source/Johnny_Kingdom) was born and grew up in the village.[5]
