***Hermophyllon anceps*** is a [moth](/source/Moth) in the family [Cossidae](/source/Cossidae), and the only species in the genus ***Hermophyllon***. It is found in [Malaysia](/source/Malaysia) ([Sabah](/source/Sabah)), [Indonesia](/source/Indonesia) ([Sumatra](/source/Sumatra), [Nias](/source/Nias), [Kalimantan](/source/Kalimantan) and [Java](/source/Java)) and the [Philippines](/source/Philippines).

## Etymology

The genus name refers to the Greek god [Hermes](/source/Hermes) plus Greek *phyllon* (meaning leaf).[1]
