It is located by the [Rombaken fjord](/source/Rombaken), just north of the [Rombak Bridge](/source/Rombak_Bridge). [Hergot Chapel](/source/Hergot_Chapel) is located on the south side of the hamlet.

Road 7575 from Narvik crosses Hergot, and links to [E10](/source/European_route_E10) between [Lofoten](/source/Lofoten) in the west and [Luleå](/source/Lule%C3%A5), Sweden in the east.
