'''Henri Jordan''' (30 September 1833, [Berlin](/source/Berlin) &ndash; 10 November 1886, [Königsberg](/source/K%C3%B6nigsberg)) was a German classical scholar who specialized in [Roman](/source/Ancient_Rome) [archaeological](/source/archaeological) topography. He was a son-in-law to historian [Johann Gustav Droysen](/source/Johann_Gustav_Droysen).

He attended [Joachimsthalsches Gymnasium](/source/Joachimsthalsches_Gymnasium) in Berlin under the directorship of [August Meineke](/source/August_Meineke), then studied from 1852 to 1856 at the universities of [Berlin](/source/University_of_Berlin) (with [Moritz Haupt](/source/Moritz_Haupt)) and [Bonn](/source/University_of_Bonn). In 1861 he obtained his [habilitation](/source/habilitation), and during the same year, undertook a study trip to [Rome](/source/Rome).
