Engelhardt is the widow of Tony Hawkins, one of the 259 victims aboard [Pan Am Flight 103](/source/Pan_Am_Flight_103) which exploded on Wednesday, 21 December 1988 over [Lockerbie](/source/Lockerbie), Scotland when a bomb was detonated.
