**Hawston** is a village in the [Western Cape](/source/Western_Cape), [South Africa](/source/South_Africa), It is a fishing village north-east of Mudge Point, 5 km north-west of [Onrusrivier](/source/Onrusrivier) and 11 km from [Hermanus](/source/Hermanus). It is named after C.R. Haw, a civil commissioner of [Caledon](/source/Caledon%2C_Western_Cape).[2]

Located in the [Overstrand Local Municipality](/source/Overstrand_Local_Municipality), about an hour from [Cape Town](/source/Cape_Town), it is located between [Fisherhaven](/source/Fisherhaven%2C_Western_Cape) and [Vermont, Western Cape](/source/Vermont%2C_Western_Cape), and is close to [Hermanus](/source/Hermanus).[3]
