**Harvey James Neville** (born 26 June 2002) is a professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [right-back](/source/Defender_(association_football)) for [USL Championship](/source/USL_Championship) club [Sporting JAX](/source/Sporting_Club_Jacksonville). Born in England, he has represented the [Republic of Ireland](/source/Republic_of_Ireland_national_football_team) at under-19 level. He is the son of former [England](/source/England_national_football_team) player [Phil Neville](/source/Phil_Neville).

## Early life

Born on 26 June 2002, Neville is the son of former [England](/source/England_national_football_team) international [Phil Neville](/source/Phil_Neville) and nephew of another former England international [Gary Neville](/source/Gary_Neville).[1] He began his career in the youth setup of his father's former club, [Manchester United](/source/Manchester_United_F.C.).[2] He later moved and played with the youth squads at [Manchester City](/source/Manchester_City_F.C.) and Spanish club [Valencia](/source/Valencia_CF).[2]

In 2018, Neville returned to United,[2] and in July 2020 signed his first professional contract.[3]

## Club career

On 7 May 2021, Neville moved to the United States and signed with [USL League One](/source/USL_League_One) club [Fort Lauderdale CF](/source/Inter_Miami_CF_II), the reserve affiliate of [Major League Soccer](/source/Major_League_Soccer) side [Inter Miami](/source/Inter_Miami_CF).[4] He made his professional debut for the club on 22 May 2021 in a 2–1 defeat against the [Chattanooga Red Wolves](/source/Chattanooga_Red_Wolves_SC).[5]

On 26 January 2022, Neville made his non-competitive debut for Inter Miami and scored during a 4–0 pre-season victory over [Club Universitario de Deportes](/source/Club_Universitario_de_Deportes).[6] On 11 May 2022, Neville made his competitive debut for Inter Miami as an 84th minute substitute for [DeAndre Yedlin](/source/DeAndre_Yedlin) during a 3–1 [U.S. Open Cup](/source/U.S._Open_Cup) win at home to [Tormenta FC](/source/Tormenta_FC).[7]

### Inter Miami

Neville officially joined the Inter Miami first team roster on 23 August 2022, signing a deal through to the end of the 2024 season.[8]

On 24 August 2023, Neville was loaned to [USL Championship](/source/USL_Championship) side [Loudoun United](/source/Loudoun_United_FC).[9]

On 16 March 2024, [Inter Miami](/source/Inter_Miami) and Neville mutually agreed to terminate his contract.

### Portland Timbers

On 16 March 2024, Portland Timbers 2 signed Neville ahead of their 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season opener. Just like at Inter Miami where his father was the head coach, at Portland Harvey was reunited with his father [Phil Neville](/source/Phil_Neville), who had been coaching the [Portland Timbers](/source/Portland_Timbers) MLS team since November 2023. Neville's contract with Portland expired following the 2024 season.[10]

### Phoenix Rising FC

Neville signed with [Phoenix Rising FC](/source/Phoenix_Rising_FC) on 21 January 2025.[11] On 6 July 2025, Neville was loaned to USL Championship side [San Antonio FC](/source/San_Antonio_FC).[12]

### Sporting JAX

On 23 December 2025, via the club's website, USL Championship expansion team [Sporting JAX](/source/Sporting_Club_Jacksonville) announced Neville had joined their inaugural roster.[13]

## International career

Neville qualifies for [Republic of Ireland](/source/Republic_of_Ireland_national_football_team) through his maternal grandmother.[14] In October 2019, Neville was named in the [Republic of Ireland U19](/source/Republic_of_Ireland_national_under-19_football_team) squad for the first time.[14][15] He made his debut later that month in a loss to [Denmark](/source/Denmark_national_under-19_football_team).[3]
