# Hartmut Faust

**Hartmut Faust** (born 16 May 1965) is a [West German](/source/West_Germany) [sprint canoer](/source/Canoe_racing) who competed during the 1980s. He won a bronze medal in the C-2 1000 m event at the [1986 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships](/source/1986_ICF_Canoe_Sprint_World_Championships) in [Montreal](/source/Montreal).

Faust also competed in two [Summer Olympics](/source/Summer_Olympics), earning his best finish of fifth in the [C-2 1000 m event](/source/Canoeing_at_the_1988_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_C-2_1000_metres) at the [1988 Summer Olympics](/source/1988_Summer_Olympics) in [Seoul](/source/Seoul).
