'''Hart Fell''' is a hill in the [Moffat Hills](/source/Moffat_Hills) range, part of the [Southern Uplands](/source/Southern_Uplands) of [Scotland](/source/Scotland). It lies north of the town of [Moffat](/source/Moffat%2C_Dumfries_and_Galloway) on the border with the [Scottish Borders](/source/Scottish_Borders) and [Dumfries and Galloway](/source/Dumfries_and_Galloway).

A broad, rolling hill, is visible from the [M74](/source/A74(M)_and_M74_motorways) motorway in the west, parts of [Dumfries](/source/Dumfries) and ranges to the east. Hart Fell is gently sloping on three sides of the hill, however the east ridge is steep and craggy and features a deep [corrie](/source/cirque) known as Blackhope. The normal route is from the southern ridge,<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.munromagic.com/MountainInfo.cfm?Mountain=434
|title= Munro Magic Hart Fell|publisher=munromagic.com|accessdate=22 October 2019}}</ref> passing over [Swatte Fell](/source/Swatte_Fell) and can be extended to include a full loop of Blackhope, finishing on Saddle Yoke, known as the Hart Fell Horseshoe.
