**Harry Hemming Cornish** (19 February 1871 – 24 October 1918) was an English [cricketer](/source/Cricket). Cornish's [batting](/source/Batsman_(cricket)) and [bowling](/source/Bowling_(cricket)) styles are unknown. The son of James Cornish and Fanny Hemming, he was born in [St James's Park](/source/St_James's_Park), London.[1]

Cornish made a single [first-class](/source/First-class_cricket) appearance for [Middlesex](/source/Middlesex_County_Cricket_Club) in 1893 against the touring [Australians](/source/Australia_national_cricket_team).[2] In the Australians first-innings, he bowled 3 wicket-less [overs](/source/Over_(cricket)). In Middlesex first-innings, he scored a single run before being dismissed by [Hugh Trumble](/source/Hugh_Trumble). In the Australians second-innings, he bowled 2 further wicket-less overs, while in the Middlesex second-innings, he scored 6 runs before being dismissed by [George Giffen](/source/George_Giffen).[3]

Two years later he married Florence Gwatkin, before later [emigrating](/source/Emigration) to the United States. His marriage to Florence must have ended in divorce, because 5 years later he married a woman called Dorethy in the United States. They had one son, Richard V. C. Cornish.[1] While in America, he played cricket for [Belmont Cricket Club](/source/Belmont_Cricket_Club),[4] and in 1909 he played for the [United States cricket team](/source/United_States_national_cricket_team) against [Canada](/source/Canada_national_cricket_team).[5] He died in [Bala](/source/Bala_Cynwyd,_Pennsylvania), [Pennsylvania](/source/Pennsylvania) on 24 October 1918.
