'''Harold J. Earle''' (March 4, 1884 &ndash; March 10, 1954) was a merchant and politician in [Newfoundland](/source/Dominion_of_Newfoundland). He represented Fogo in the [Newfoundland House of Assembly](/source/Newfoundland_House_of_Assembly) from 1932 to 1934 as a [United Newfoundland Party](/source/United_Newfoundland_Party) member.<ref name=mha/>

The son of Henry J. Earle, he was born in [Fogo](/source/Fogo%2C_Newfoundland_and_Labrador) and was educated at [Bishop Feild College](/source/Bishop_Feild_College) and in England.<ref name=mha/> In 1917, he took over the management of the family company Earle Sons and Co. The company was involved in the export of seafood and retail sales of groceries and fishing equipment; it operated in Fogo, [Twillingate](/source/Twillingate), [Herring Neck](/source/Herring_Neck) and [Change Islands](/source/Change_Islands).<ref name=earle/> Earle was elected to the Newfoundland assembly in 1932.<ref name=mha>{{cite web |url=http://www.assembly.nl.ca/business/hansard/HistoricHansards/1932/08_AppendixE.pdf |title=Members of the Legislature, 1932-1933 |publisher=Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly}}</ref>
