He played in [Major League Baseball](/source/Major_League_Baseball) with the [Cleveland Naps](/source/Cleveland_Indians) in 1903. He was born in [Houlton, Maine](/source/Houlton%2C_Maine), and pitched for the town team there. Known as "Happy Jack," Iott played professional baseball in the [New England League](/source/New_England_League) in 1902 and 1903.
