# Hans Hecker

**Hans Hecker** (26 February 1895 – 1 May 1979) was a German general during [World War II](/source/World_War_II) who commanded several divisions. He was a recipient of the [Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross](/source/Knight's_Cross_of_the_Iron_Cross) of [Nazi Germany](/source/Nazi_Germany).
