**Hannah Nathans** (born 1944) is an author and the rabbi of the [Open Jewish Congregation Klal](/source/Open_Jewish_Congregation_Klal_Israel) Israel in [Delft](/source/Delft).

## Life

Nathans was born in 1944 in [Amsterdam](/source/Amsterdam), Netherlands. Hannah is of [Jewish](/source/Jews) [Patrilineal](/source/Patrilineal) descent.

Nathans worked for the [Dutch](/source/Netherlands) government as a policymaker, trainer, and consultant from 1970 to 1985. In 1989, after several years working as a senior consultant in a training and consulting firm, she started her own business, named Nathan's Consultancy. She was one of the first to introduce the [Enneagram](/source/Enneagram_of_Personality) in the Netherlands and would later write a book on the subject.[1]

In 2005, Nathans completed training as a Jewish Spiritual Director at Lev Shomea, Institute for Jewish Spiritual Direction. In 2007, Nathan's Consultancy became part of Rijnconsult, and Nathans founded HaMakor, Centre for Jewish Spirituality.[2] Nathans earned a masters in [Hebrew language](/source/Hebrew_language) and culture at the [University of Amsterdam](/source/University_of_Amsterdam).
