Craig at the 2012 Summer Olympics

**Hannah Craig** (born 10 February 1983 in [Ballymoney](/source/Ballymoney), [Northern Ireland](/source/Northern_Ireland)) is an [Irish](/source/Ireland) [slalom canoer](/source/Whitewater_slalom). At the [2012 Summer Olympics](/source/2012_Summer_Olympics) she competed in the [K-1 event](/source/Canoeing_at_the_2012_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Women's_slalom_K-1)[1], finishing 10th in the final.

In 2012, she was reported to be from [Armoy](/source/Armoy).[2]

## Telephone call

Famously, when a penalty was applied to Craig during the 2012 Summer Olympics, Carl Dunne, head of the Irish canoeing team, telephoned [RTÉ](/source/RT%C3%89)'s analyst to discuss the possibility of appealing the decision. The analyst took the telephone call live on television as a bemused [Michael Lyster](/source/Michael_Lyster) watched on.[3]
