**Hanna Solovey** ([Ukrainian](/source/Ukrainian_language): Ганна Соловей; born 31 January 1992) is a [Ukrainian](/source/Ukraine) road and track [racing cyclist](/source/Racing_cyclist),[3] who rode for Ukrainian amateur team [Lviv Cycling Team](/source/Lviv_Cycling_Team_(women's_team)).

## Career

Born in [Luhansk](/source/Luhansk), Solovey was banned in 2011 for 2 years after testing positive for [performance-enhancing drug](/source/Performance-enhancing_drug), [Drostanolone](/source/Drostanolone).[4]

### Astana–Acca Due O (2015)

On 24 December 2014, Solovey signed for [Astana–Acca Due O](/source/A.R._Monex_Women's_Pro_Cycling_Team).[5]

In June 2015, Astana–Acca Due O fired Solovey citing "unprofessional behaviour". This was disputed, with the Ukrainian Cycling Federation, claiming she was fired for refusing to take up Kazakhstani citizenship ahead of the Rio [2016 Olympics](/source/2016_Olympics). [Alexander Vinokourov](/source/Alexander_Vinokourov), the Astana manager, rejected the claim.[6] Solovey did not qualify for the 2016 Olympics.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*]

In June 2015, she competed in the [inaugural European Games](/source/European_Games_2015), for [Ukraine](/source/Ukraine_at_the_2015_European_Games) in [cycling](/source/Cycling_at_the_2015_European_Games). She earned a silver medal in the women's time trial.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*]
