**Hanna Folkesson** (born 15 June 1988) is a [Swedish](/source/Swedes) [footballer](/source/Association_football) who played as a [midfielder](/source/Midfielder) for [Hammarby IF](/source/Hammarby_Fotboll_(women)) and the [Sweden women's national team](/source/Sweden_women's_national_football_team).

## Club career

Folkesson joined [Umeå IK](/source/Ume%C3%A5_IK) in 2013 from relegated [AIK](/source/AIK_Fotboll_(women)), where she had been [captain](/source/Captain_(association_football)).[2]

## International career

Folkesson made her debut for the senior [Sweden](/source/Sweden_women's_national_football_team) team in a 1–1 [Algarve Cup](/source/2013_Algarve_Cup) draw with [China](/source/China_women's_national_football_team) on 6 March 2013.[3]

She suffered a knee ligament injury in training for a pre tournament friendly with [Norway](/source/Norway_women's_national_football_team) and was ruled out of [UEFA Women's Euro 2013](/source/UEFA_Women's_Euro_2013).[4]
