***Handelia*** is a [genus](/source/Genus) of flowering plants in the [daisy family](/source/Asteraceae).[1][2]

The genus is named for Austrian botanist [Heinrich von Handel-Mazzetti](/source/Heinrich_von_Handel-Mazzetti) (1880-1940).[1]

**Species**

There is only one known species, ***Handelia trichophylla***, native to [Asia](/source/Asia) ([Xinjiang](/source/Xinjiang), [Afghanistan](/source/Afghanistan), [Kazakhstan](/source/Kazakhstan), [Pakistan](/source/Pakistan), [Uzbekistan](/source/Uzbekistan)).[3][4]
