**Hamzah Hussain** (sometimes spelt as **Hamzah Hussein** or **Hamzah Husin**) (born 8 August 1948) is a former [football player](/source/Association_football) who represented the [Malaysian national football team](/source/Malaysian_national_football_team) in the 1970s.[1] He played for [Kelantan FA](/source/Kelantan_FA), [Pahang FA](/source/Pahang_FA) and [Selangor FA](/source/Selangor_FA) in [Malaysia Cup](/source/Malaysia_Cup) competition.

A midfielder, Hamzah played for the Malaysia team in the [1972 Munich Olympics](/source/1972_Munich_Olympics) [football competition](/source/Football_at_the_1972_Summer_Olympics), playing all three group games.[2][3][4][5] He also played for Malaysia in tournaments across Asia such as [Merdeka Tournament](/source/Merdeka_Tournament). He retired from international tournaments in 1974. In 2004, he was inducted in [Olympic Council of Malaysia](/source/Olympic_Council_of_Malaysia)'s Hall of Fame for [1972 Summer Olympics football team](/source/Football_at_the_1972_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_team_squads#Malaysia).[6]

Hamzah was a [prison officer](/source/Prison_officer) at Prison Department of Malaysia, his final rank before retiring from prison force was Deputy Superintendent of Prison.
