'''Ham Tran''' ({{Langx|vi|Trần Hàm}}) is a [Vietnamese American](/source/Vietnamese_American) filmmaker. He earned an MFA in film directing from the [UCLA Film School](/source/UCLA_Film_School) and is most famous for his thesis film ''[The Anniversary](/source/The_Anniversary_(short_film))'', which was [shortlist](/source/shortlist)ed for the [Academy Award for Live Action Short Film](/source/Academy_Award_for_Live_Action_Short_Film).

His most recent effort is the feature film ''[How to Fight in Six Inch Heels](/source/How_to_Fight_in_Six_Inch_Heels)'' which had its U.S. premiere on 13 March 2014 at [CAAMFest](/source/CAAMFest) in [San Francisco](/source/San_Francisco). Tran also directed the full-length [Vietnamese boat people](/source/Vietnamese_boat_people) and [re-education camp](/source/Re-education_camp_(Vietnam)) drama, ''[Journey From the Fall](/source/Journey_from_the_Fall)'', which was picked up in North America by [ImaginAsian Pictures](/source/ImaginAsian_Pictures) and released nationally on March 23, 2007.
