# Halfset

**Halfset** were an Irish [electronica](/source/Electronica)/[post-rock](/source/Post-rock) band based in [Dublin](/source/Dublin).[1][2][3]

## Career

Halfset's second album, *Another Way of Being There* (2008), was nominated for the [Choice Music Prize](/source/Choice_Music_Prize), earning comparisons to [Sigur Rós](/source/Sigur_R%C3%B3s), [Mogwai](/source/Mogwai) and [Tortoise](/source/Tortoise_(band)).[4][5] Halfset performed at [Electric Picnic 2009](/source/Electric_Picnic_2009).

By 2015 the band had disbanded.[6][7][8][9]
