'''Harold Jay Bedsole''' (December 21, 1941 – December 22, 2017) was an American [football](/source/American_football) player.  He played as a [tight end](/source/tight_end) and [end](/source/End_(gridiron_football)) early in his career during the [single platoon](/source/One-platoon_system) days.

==Early life and college==
Bedsole prepped at [Reseda High School](/source/Reseda_Charter_High_School), graduated in 1959. He played [college football](/source/college_football) for the [University of Southern California](/source/University_of_Southern_California) (USC).  He helped lead the [USC Trojans](/source/USC_Trojans) to a national championship in 1962 under coach [John McKay](/source/John_McKay_(American_football)). Bedsole was a two-time First-team All [AAWU Conference](/source/Pac-12_Conference) (now known as the [Pac-12 Conference](/source/Pac-12_Conference)) selection and the first Trojan to have 200 receiving yards in a single game. Bedsole played for the [Minnesota Vikings](/source/Minnesota_Vikings) of the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL) between 1964 and 1966.
