## History

[Hakka](/source/Hakka_people) peasants from nearby villages of Chengxiang county (modern-day [Meixian](/source/Meixian_District)) immigrated to Haifeng, forming numerous [Hakka rural settlements](/source/Hakka_walled_village) in the county.
