**HD 82943 b** is an [extrasolar planet](/source/Extrasolar_planet) approximately 89 [light-years](/source/Light-year) away in the [constellation](/source/Constellation) of [Hydra](/source/Hydra_(constellation)). The planet was announced in 2000 by the [Geneva Extrasolar Planet Search Team](/source/Geneva_Extrasolar_Planet_Search_Team).[1] The planet is the outermost planet of two.[2]
