**HD 74156 c** is an [extrasolar planet](/source/Extrasolar_planet) with a [minimum mass](/source/Minimum_mass) about eight times that of [Jupiter](/source/Jupiter) orbiting the star [HD 74156](/source/HD_74156). It is most likely a [gas giant](/source/Gas_giant). This planet was discovered by [Dominique Naef](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominique_Naef) and [Michel Mayor](/source/Michel_Mayor) in April 2001 together with the planet [HD 74156 b](/source/HD_74156_b).[2][1] In 2022, the inclination and true mass of HD 74156 c were measured via [astrometry](/source/Astrometry).[3]
