**HD 102350** is a single[10] [star](/source/Star) in the [constellation](/source/Constellation) [Centaurus](/source/Centaurus_(constellation)). It has a yellow hue and is visible to the naked eye with an [apparent visual magnitude](/source/Apparent_visual_magnitude) of 4.11.[3] The distance to this star is approximately 390 [light years](/source/Light_year) based on [parallax](/source/Stellar_parallax), but it is drifting closer with a [radial velocity](/source/Radial_velocity) of −3 km/s.[3] It has an [absolute magnitude](/source/Absolute_magnitude) of −1.51.[7]

This is an aging [bright giant](/source/Bright_giant) star with a [stellar classification](/source/Stellar_classification) of G0II.[4] It is a candidate [Cepheid variable](/source/Cepheid_variable),[6] but [Hipparcos](/source/Hipparcos) photometry found its brightness to be constant.[11] The star has expanded to 22[8] times the [radius of the Sun](/source/Radius_of_the_Sun) and is radiating 283[8] times the [Sun's luminosity](/source/Sun's_luminosity) from its enlarged [photosphere](/source/Photosphere) at an [effective temperature](/source/Effective_temperature) of 5,051 K.[8] It has a magnitude 13.0 [visual companion](/source/Visual_companion) at an [angular separation](/source/Angular_separation) of 24.3[″](/source/Second_of_arc) along a [position angle](/source/Position_angle) of 313° relative to the brighter component, as of 2000.[12]

HD 102350 is listed in the [Washington Double Star Catalog](/source/Washington_Double_Star_Catalog) as having a 13th magnitude companion about 25[″](/source/Second_of_arc) away,[13] but it is a distant background object unrelated to HD 102350.[14][10]
