== Biography ==
Deplus was born in [Vieux-Condé](/source/Vieux-Cond%C3%A9) and studied [clarinet](/source/clarinet) at the [Conservatoire de Paris](/source/Conservatoire_de_Paris), where he would later become a professor of clarinet, and received Premiers Prix in clarinet and [chamber music](/source/chamber_music).<ref name="vandoren">{{cite web|url=http://www.vandoren.fr/fr/guydeplus.html|title=Guy Deplus|publisher=Vandoren|language=French|accessdate=2009-08-04|url-status=dead|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20090928053041/http://www.vandoren.fr/fr/guydeplus.html|archivedate=2009-09-28}}</ref> He taught many French orchestral clarinetists.
