# Group SNE

**Group SNE** is a Japanese company founded in 1987 by the current president Hitoshi Yasuda, which produces [role-playing games](/source/Role-playing_game), [light novels](/source/Light_novel), [board games](/source/Board_game) and [card games](/source/Card_game). [Ryo Mizuno](/source/Ryo_Mizuno) was one of the founding members. Group SNE's name comes from [syntax error](/source/Syntax_error), the programming language [BASIC](/source/BASIC)'s term. The most famous product of Group SNE is *[Record of Lodoss War](/source/Record_of_Lodoss_War)*, which is well known for its [fantasy](/source/Fantasy) [anime](/source/Anime) adaptation. Moreover, there are several anime adaptations based upon Group SNE's products such as *[Legend of Crystania](/source/Legend_of_Crystania)*, *[Mon Colle Knights](/source/Mon_Colle_Knights)* and *[Rune Soldier](/source/Rune_Soldier)*.
