**Grottammare** (Teramano [Neapolitan](/source/Neapolitan_language): *Le Grottë*) is a town and *[comune](/source/Comune)* on Italy's [Adriatic](/source/Adriatic) coast, in the [province of Ascoli Piceno](/source/Province_of_Ascoli_Piceno), Marche region. It is one of [I Borghi più belli d'Italia](/source/I_Borghi_pi%C3%B9_belli_d'Italia) ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").[3]

The town is crossed by the [43rd parallel north](/source/43rd_parallel_north). Economy is mostly based on summer tourism; other sectors include food and vegetables production, mechanics, and commerce.
